Return Policy

At Hadawatha.lk, we want you to be fully satisfied with every purchase. If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help. Please read our return policy to understand your rights and how to initiate a return.

 

1. Eligibility for Returns

  • Return Window: Customers can request a return within 7 days of receiving their item.
  • Condition: To be eligible for a return, items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition that you received them.
  • Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns.

2. Items Not Eligible for Return

For hygiene, safety, and custom-order reasons, certain items are not eligible for return, including:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers)
  • Personal care items (e.g., cosmetics, undergarments)
  • Customized or personalized products
  • Digital goods (e.g., downloads, online courses)
  • Gift cards and vouchers

Please check the item description for any specific return restrictions.

3. Damaged or Defective Products

If an item arrives damaged or is defective:

  1. Report Immediately: Contact us within 48 hours of receiving the item.
  2. Provide Evidence: Include photos or videos showing the defect or damage.
  3. Resolution Options: Depending on the situation, you may be eligible for a replacement, exchange, or full refund.

4. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact Customer Support: Reach out to our support team at support@hadawatha.lk or call [Your Support Number].
  2. Provide Order Details: Share your order number, product name, reason for the return, and any relevant photos if the product is damaged.
  3. Approval & Instructions: Once your return request is approved, we’ll provide instructions on how to return the item.

5. Return Shipping Costs

  • If the Return is Due to Our Error: Hadawatha.lk or the Seller will cover the return shipping costs (e.g., wrong item, damaged item).
  • If the Return is Due to Buyer’s Choice: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs for reasons like changing mind, ordering the wrong item, etc.

Return shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part.

6. Refunds

After receiving and inspecting the returned item, we’ll notify you of the refund approval status:

  • Processing Time: Refunds are typically processed within 7-10 business days after receiving the item back in good condition.
  • Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. For COD orders, we’ll arrange an alternative refund method (e.g., bank transfer or store credit).
  • Partial Refunds: In some cases, only partial refunds may be granted (e.g., if an item is returned with signs of use or missing parts).

7. Exchanges

If you need a different size or color, we encourage exchanges where possible. Please follow the same steps to initiate an exchange, specifying the new item you wish to receive.

8. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund within the expected timeframe:

  1. Check your bank account or credit card statement.
  2. Contact your bank or credit card company, as processing times may vary.
  3. If you’ve done all of this and still haven’t received your refund, please contact us at support@hadawatha.lk .

9. Gifts

If you received an item as a gift and wish to return it, please contact us with the order details. Refunds for gift returns may be issued as store credit or to the original purchaser, depending on the situation.
